Late Mr. Ajay Bane founded Ashwini Publicity in the year 1988 with a singular goal of recognizing Public Relations and Media Awareness in Marathi Cinema.
He reckoned the expansion of the industry by following his dream and commitment towards Public Relations through the abundant work during his tenure at Indian Express. A decade of hands-on experience in the world of space-selling, media planning & buying, media awareness, he let his ambitions follow his dream of introducing these jargons to Marathi Cinema industry.
With his passion and hard work along with support from the industry and his team, he was able to channelize the growth and success to lead the industry by an example. His commitment to the job and continuous effort lead him to yield fruit while running a global campaign for ‘Shwaas’ – Indian Cinema’s first official Oscar nomination entry in the year 2004.
Mr. Bane started his career in the media industry with Indian Express, India’s oldest daily, as Manager, Public Relations and was associated with it for almost 17 years. During his existence, he was the most- sought after names for stalwarts in Marathi Film Industry like Dada Kondke, PrashantDamle, Mahesh Kothare, SmitaTalwalkar, Arun Nalawade, Ashwini Bhave, Smita Thackeray, Chandrakant Kulkarni, Dilip Jadhav. The company was associated with more than 600+ Marathi films.
Ashwini Publicity was his dream and was formed only because of his zest and willpower which continued to drive him & the company along with him to achieve newer heights & to offer complete satisfaction to its clients for almost 18 years till he passed away in the year 2008.
